About the Retreat

The 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Pure Om Hot Yoga Teacher Training will teach you to teach two classes:
1) The 26 & 2 Bikram style 90 minute class.
2) A shorter 60 minute version of the class.
Trainees will be taught to instruct the 26& 2 series with confidence, kindness, strength and clarity, similar to how our favorite teachers teach. Trainees will be given a copy of Siri Om’s dialog which is based on her 8 years of study with Bikram and 22 year practice, and inspired by her continued study with senior Bikram teachers . It will be used as a starting place to find your own unique voice. Trainees will be taught the fundamentals of hot yoga while also encouraged to find their own unique style. Our philosophy on the yoga is that everyone can do something and this yoga is for everyone. We will also cover modifications for injury and pregnancy. Trainees will be encouraged to explore their limits and go beyond. Come with a strong mind and open heart.
You will also receive a teaching booklet to help guide students to properly enter, hold & exit postures.

Siri Om Khalsa
She studied with Bikram Choudhury extensively since 1995 in Los Angeles at the Yoga College of India and is photo featured several times in “Bikram’s Beginning Yoga Class” instructional book. She practices daily and has consistently taught Bikram Yoga since 2002, worldwide. She completed Kundalini yoga teacher training with Yogi Bhajan in 2001. She completed additional trainings in Yin, Anusara, and Vinyasa with Weights.
“My deepest wish is to serve people through teaching yoga; to help relieve others of some of their pain and suffering; to bring a healthy glow to their faces; to bring strength and flexibility to their bodies and minds; to help others connect to their joyful essence through the magical beauty of Bikram Yoga.” She is the owner of 2 Pure Om locations and the owner of Casa Om. She is also a co–founder of the One Fire Hot Yoga Festival.
Her love for yoga is effervescent and will inspire you to new heights in your practice. She lives in Virginia with her husband and daughter.
Hargobind Khalsa was born into a family of yogis. After breaking a vertebrae in his back, he began practicing yoga with regularity. He completed Kundalini yoga training in India in 2000. As an avid soccer and basketball player, he has always relied on yoga for its therapeutic and healing qualities.He completed Sterling Hot Yoga training in 2014. He also completed World Champion Jared McCann’s Yoga Training in NYC in 2015. Along with Siri Om, he is the co owner of Pure Om & Casa Om.
Yoga is a powerful tool to assist in our human evolution. It allows us to peel off the layers of our “identities” to uncover our true nature. Through the asana practice we create strength, flexibility, and balance in our bodies. We cultivate energy and awareness to create fulfilling and balanced lives. We begin to feel that we are part of something much larger than ourselves and start to see our place in the divine plan of the universe. I have studied Dharma Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, and Ashtanga. I bring my in–depth knowledge of yoga Asana to my students in a fun, challenging, creative, and simple way.
Alicia Molloy PT, MSPT, BS, CSCS, RYT500
Alicia has a passion to help people. With 10 years of experience in sports and orthopedic physical therapy after training 6 years at Northeastern University’s Masters program for physical therapy she has been able to help patients heal from injury and inspire them to change their lifestyle to prevent future injury. Always teaching with a heavy focus on posture, movement patterns and body mechanics, Alicia has been a perpetual student of learning traditional practices in medicine, alternative medicine techniques and new techniques that have been developed to help people live their lives pain–free. Alicia began teaching yoga only after she found an extremely therapeutic effect from her own personal practice of yoga. After training with Kevan Gale in Fluid Yoga she gained the tools and the experience to begin applying yoga poses, breathing techniques, visualization and guided meditation to her patients in need. She is truly focused on the overall well–being of her patients and students. When she is not working with patients in the clinic, or teaching Healing Yoga classes, she is teaching the anatomy portion of various teacher trainings and holding workshops for yoga teachers and students for injury prevention. Alicia is focused on optimizing others’ potential for happiness through the practice of yoga.
Ben is known for his joyful and down–to–earth presentation of many of the hardest concepts in spiritual philosophy. He has taught ancient systems of spiritual logic and debate, meditation, advanced ancient philosophy, yoga, and the Sanskrit and Tibetan Languages. He also ran the spiritual debate program for Diamond Mountain University. Ben has lived and studied in the monasteries of both north and south India. This past April, he and his wife Kendra completed a 3 year silent meditation retreat.
Kendra is known for her ability to safely and lovingly guide practitioners beyond their own perceived physical limitations, empowering students to find inspiration in their own strength and ability.Drawing from the blessing of having studied for years at the feet of many masters, her asana classes incorporate an in–depth knowledge of precise inner and outer body alignment coupled with deep devotion to practice and a longing for all the benefits that it breeds. Kendra was first certified to teach by Bikram Choudhury in 2002 and taught under his guidance at his International Headquarters in Los Angeles for four years before going on to years of training and finally certification with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City. She then went on to study principles of Yoga and Buddhism focusing on meditation, theory, dialectic, and service for nearly a decade at Diamond Mountain University and has taught these topics, and asana infused with these topics in the China, Europe, and the United States. She and her husband just completed a 3 year silent retreat together in a small cabin in the Arizona desert.
Casa Om has 10 beautiful bedrooms, a spacious and well-equipped yoga room, swimming pool, and a kitchen. Bedrooms are double occupancy, and have either a private bathroom or a bathroom shared between two rooms.
The rooms at Casa Om are comfortable and beautifully designed with air conditioning and fans. Drinking water and a small coffee maker are in each room, and most rooms have a small mini-fridge. Yoga mats, towels, and beach towels are provided!
Wifi is included and available throughout the resort.
Enjoy meals up on the rooftop palapa with a stunning 360 degree view of Puerto Morelos, perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets over the Mayan Jungle.
Casa Om sleeps 24 and is across the street from the beach.
Some meals are provided by Casa Om’s team of exquisite chefs who locally source their food for an incredible culinary experience. Their food is guaranteed to help you be stronger and healthier on your trip.
At Casa Om we run a full gourmet vegetarian kitchen. We offer extensive Mexican, Thai, New American, and Lebanese food options. Visitors love our fresh juices and superfood smoothies. All dishes are prepared with a healthy yogic lifestyle in mind. We love to make gluten free and vegan meals as well.
We will include breakfast each morning and dinner 4 nights out of the 6 you are with us. The other nights we will venture out into town.
Our head chef, Eduardo, is a former restaurateur; he brings more than 10 years of professional cooking experience to Casa Om. He is passionate about food and his cooking classes are a favorite amongst our visitors. Those passionate about cuisine will find a like-minded soul.
