Jamie Testa E-RYT :
Jamie discovered yoga while a student at UC Davis. After her first hot yoga class she knew the practice would be part of her life-long journey. At the time, Jamie was reliant on 3+ visits a week to the chiropractor to stave off debilitating headaches that were lingering from multiple car accidents. After several months of consistent practice the headaches were nearly gone. She wanted to start giving back by teaching and graduated from Bikram’s Teacher Training in Spring 2006. Jamie also attended a comprehensive 500-hour Yoga Alliance yoga teacher-training program, trained to teach Yin yoga and Hot Pilates. Jamie taught for 4 years before opening Akasha yoga studio in Vacaville, CA, in 2010 and in 2012 joined forces with a long-time friend and fellow yogini to open a second Akasha studio in Davis.
Debbie Vojik, RN:
Debbie has been a practicing nurse since 1993. Debbie began practicing yoga consistently in 1999. She was astounded by the physical changes, internal and external, that were occurring and wanted to be able to share this with as many people possible. She attended the 2006 spring Bikram teacher training. Over the past eight years of teaching this transforming practice she has noticed so many changes in those she teaches, as well as herself. Debbie owns Bikram Yoga Mid Atlantic. She will receive her Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health.
